I saw Dr. Andres De La Cruz on my trip to Costa Rica because I was interested in getting Invisalign and my friend that lives in Costa Rica recommended him. I have been to a few orthodontists in the United States before and they all recommended that I get braces to correct my crossbite. I must say that the general consultation and initial oral examination with Dr. De La Cruz was the most thorough that I have ever experienced. Dr. De La Cruz spent about 30 minutes examining my teeth, mouth, jaw and bite. I was impressed with Dr. De La Cruz's overall dental knowledge. Not only is he an expert in orthodontics but he was able to identify dental conditions and procedures that I had just by simply looking in my mouth (without x-rays). Once he was done, he explained to me that I was eligible for Invisalign but would recommend regular braces because he might not be able to get the desired result with Invisalign. He was very helpful in explaining the pros and cons of Invisalign vs. traditional braces and there was no language barrier at all as Dr. De La Cruz is fluent in English. He quoted me an approximate price of $2800 - $3000 for ceramic braces which was cheaper than most US orthodontists. I appreciated the fact that he was upfront with me on the fact that I would have to travel to Costa Rica once a month for adjustments and that would increase the overall cost of my treatment. Additionally, he realized that this may be a burden so he offered to recommend doctors in the US that he knows. I appreciated his honesty with me (even though Invisalign is probably a more profitable procedure for him) and felt that he was looking towards my best interest in fully correcting my bite. I would highly recommend Dr. De La Cruz to anybody that is living in Costa Rica (or doesn't mind the traveling) and is looking for a quality and knowledgeable orthodontist.

Dr. Andres de la Cruz is not only a superb, honest, and professional Orthodontist but a genuine and friendly person. After finishing my Invisalign Treatment in the states I was in Costa Rica and my Invisalign retainer broke. Upon arriving at the de la Cruz clinic i was immediately given priority attention and my Invisalign came within a week. Dr. Andres took the extra time to adjust the sharp edges on my retainer so that it comfortably fits in my mouth. I would highly recommend the de la Cruz clinic for any/every Orthodontic need.
