Helping people has always been my goal and greatest skill, and that is why I became a doctor. Seeing my patients smiling and happy with the results of a surgery they entrusted to me is the goal for which I always strive.
Surgical diseases of the digestive system have always seemed fascinating to me and hence my desire to be a general surgeon. But what I am most passionate about are hernias of the abdominal wall, so I strive to dedicate much more time and study to these diseases and thus be able to offer the best to my patients.
I consider myself a very dedicated person, with a constant desire for knowledge so I am always looking for updates. Besides, I am extremely hard-working, pro-active and a faithful believer that communication with all people builds the best relationships.

My work mainly concerns diseases of the abdominal wall and the digestive system from the surgical point of view both in laparoscopy and in conventional surgery.
The passion I feel for abdominal wall hernias and especially abdominal wall reconstruction in complex hernias led me to be out of the country for a year studying this topic, in a Spanish reference center. I can say that it was one of the most enriching experiences that I have had personally and professionally.
So I want to bring the people of this beautiful country that is Costa Rica, the quality standards that I could see in other latitudes and be able to treat them with the best of world medicine and the latest scientific advances.
